Yoga for EveryBody New or experienced yogi roll out your yoga mat and discover the beauty of Yoga for EveryBody, Stretch and Move and reap the benefits. Whether you are young or old, overweight or fit, Yoga is for EveryBody and it has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body. At your own pace you will learn the different asanas or postures, such as sun salutations, downward dog, and the warriors series. These different poses work the entire body using every muscle not only for gaining flexibility but for strength, endurance, and balance.
Hatha Yoga is the traditional form of yoga in which postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also commonly practiced. Most classes on the schedule are Hatha yoga, otherwise is noted.
Flow Yoga, uses the breath to link movement from one pose to the next in a progressive sequence. Its intention is to create a balance between strength, flexibility and mental clarity. Mindful Vinyasa is designed to deeply connect with the foundations of yoga.
Yoga for Beginners New to Yoga and need to learn the moves, then this is the class for you. This class teaches you a strong foundation so that you can build strength and confidence to take your yoga practice deeper.
Kids Yoga Yoga can help children of all ages to build physical skills as well as enhance self confidence and a feeling of mastery. The poses and exercises engage young minds through their bodies and working with others in class encourages positive relationships with classmates and gives support to encourage one another. Training in breathing and relaxation help children to learn positive coping skills and reduce stress.
Restorative Yoga In Restorative Yoga, the body is fully supported with props to facilitate deep opening, relaxation and release. It is soothing, healing, and truly rejuvenating! Restorative yoga stimulates the body’s relaxation response thus combating stress and counteracting stress-related conditions. Mental and emotional benefits include feeling calm, well-rested, clear-headed and emotionally center.
Strength, Balance and Stretch Yoga This class is where you can meditate, release, play, tune in, and find acceptance of ourselves. Instructor mixes a variety of philosophies of yoga together to create a unique experience each week, mixing movement, stillness, stretching, strength, balancing and coordination to help the mind and body and spirit work together. Students are encouraged to play and listen to their bodies and to practice with the idea that this is a life journey, not a moment of mastery. All skills and levels are welcome and encourage finding the level that will fit this moment, knowing that each moment maybe different.
Gentle Yoga This yoga class places emphasizes on flexibility in the major muscles as well as those surrounding the primary joints. Emphasis is placed on the breath to open space through the body and relieve physical and mental tension.
Commuters or Late Hour Class times 6pm, 7pm and 7:30pm (see schedule) these after- work classes are great for those in our community who commute or work late hours. Classes offer a great way to wind down from your job and transition into a relaxed evening. Each Easy flow relaxing yoga classes will offer an opportunity to allow your body and mind surrender and enjoy a non demanding yoga class yet still receiving the benefit.
Happy Hour Yoga(Class Coming Soon) Classes designed for those who leave work earlier in the afternoon and would like to go straight to a Flow class and still be home early for dinner. Flow, Breathe and get your cardio fitness.
Guided accessible sound-meditation In this weekly class offering, we will cycle through various guided meditation techniques, each one using some type of live music or sounds to help facilitate your meditation experience. Each class will present a different guided meditation technique drawing on various traditions, and will include a short discussion/Q & A session. Class will include instruction for home-practice. This class is wheelchair accessible and does not require any movement.
